The actual animation is about 80 frames long, looped about 8x in the clip. Practicing overlapping action and subtle movements. Alos went with current project for MADT it which we were to create an animation the rework the idea of a narrative (beginning middle end). Thought a looping animation truly has none of the three since it can go on forever stopped only by outside force. Woot 2 birds one stone.
I havent animated in maya in forever (and have never really done character animation in it, mostly just script stuff) so a little test I did with a character rig from http://www.creativecrash.com.

Extra project to go along with my Madt project this week. Made it earlier but didn’t feel it really had anything to do with me. (assignment was to make a sound piece that ‘completely’ describes/enunciates/announces/pronounces/elaborates/establishes/facilitates OR problematizes YOU as a person.) Though, like I said, it didn’t fit the project, but I still liked it, so thought I’d share.

This weeks project was to create using the internet as our source of inspiration and method. I created a qr movie that shows all the places I have lived over my near 25 years, as captured by Google street view. It was a truly fun piece to do as it lead me explore old neighborhood that I had not seen in close to 10 years. The city and street names are given of each location and I encourage people to find them on street view themselves and explore my old stomping groups. (Interest fact, how many of these place are just around the corner from each other)
I would love to also display this piece project on all the walls of a very large open building as if you were standing in front of these places.
Also I tried to upload the images as a qtvr but tumblr don’t like that. Boo tumblr XP.
The second project for MADT was to create something that looked at the idea of surveillance or being watched. I created a short video that could run on loop coming out against the use of cctv camera in public places, and in support of anti-cctv movements in the UK.
